I am a warm, enthusiastic, empathetic, resilient, and driven counsellor who is passionate about building a nurturing and therapeutic relationship with my clients. For me, the success of the counselling is found in the strength of the relationship which is key to establish a secure and safe space to enable my clients to nurture and explore their true self. I use a warm, blended and flexible, integrative approach as I believe every client is unique.

About me and my practice
I hold over 7 years diverse counselling experience working nationally and internationally, remotely and in person. I hold over 6000 clinically supervised hours working within GP surgeries, legal services, alcohol and substance misuse centres, bereavement services, schools, EAP providers and my own private practice. I ensure my skills are current with continuous professional learning in many areas including ADHD, trauma, grief, anxiety, depression, parenting problems, relationship problems, career challenges, OCD and neurodiversity. I offer an integrative approach combining Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Solution-focused Therapy, Compassion-focused Therapy, Person-centred Therapy and Psychodynamic Therapy.
Experience
I strive to be non-judgemental and to work from my clients frame of reference. I do not allow my own beliefs, attitudes, and values to compromise the client-counsellor relationship. I value and respect individuals and consider the client to be the expert on themselves. As counselling is a collaborative process. I empower my clients through psychoeducation to find solutions already within them. I am authentic and self-aware which helps enable intuitive responses with clients and believe this facilitates client growth and development. I was drawn to become a counsellor because of many difficult life experiences and understand that it takes courage to engage with counselling. I was empowered to heal and to learn to live life to the full again through psychoeducation from counselling and am committed to helping others do the same.
